Job Description

Recra is working in partnership with a well-established award-winning business, they are keen to grow their team and are looking for a Transport Administrator in Ilkeston. The role will be office based in a busy transport yard working alongside other team members within the office. You will not only be responsible for the general administration within the transport department, but will also be required to speak with their internal sites, customers, external haulers, and any other duties as required by the business. This is a diverse role working within a fast-paced environment, you must be adaptable and have the ability to prioritise your workload effectively and work with a high degree of care and attention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Filling in fuel reports/plant fuelling.
  • Manning the in-house tire procedure.
  • Filling out accident forms and liaising with Health and Safety.
  • PPE inventory and managing stock levels.
  • Monthly site reports.
  • Filing of all vehicle and driver documentation.
  • Daily walk-round checks of the Transport department.
  • General updating of Transport spreadsheets.
  • Fire alarm checks and appropriate documentation are kept up to date.

Skills/Knowledge:
  • It’s essential that you have excellent administration skills, strong IT skills, and good communication skills.
