Are you an experienced Prison Pharmacy Technician or a Qualified Pharmacy Technician seeking a new challenge?

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician to support a Category C Male Prison Healthcare team apart of Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Trust. This is a LOCUM opportunity for the duration of 12-weeks with the likelihood of extension. This is a full-time placement with 37.5 hours per week available. Part-time applications will be considered.

Job Purpose: Band 5 HMP Pharmacy Technician

Pay Rate: £20.00 - £25.00 LTD p/h + £250 WELCOME BONUS

Location(s): Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE28

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure continuity of stock supplies to the wards
• Liaise with senior nurses and medical staff
• Liaise with the patient regarding treatment to ensure accurate contact details for delivery
• Screen prescriptions for nMABs and oral antiviral treatment for accuracy and be responsible for updating Blu Tec and the local database
• Dispense oral medicines

Essential

• Registered with the GPhC
• Previous experience working with the NHS
• Smart & S1

Desirable

• Previous training and experience in Accuracy Checking (ACT)
• Prison clearance or willing to undertake prison clearance
