This is a great opportunity for a superb writer and content creator to join our team as the go-to person for content creation. Whilst day-to-day activities will depend on the needs of the business, it will be a results-based and collaborative role requiring creative commercial writing and technical marketing skills. The ideal person would not only show high levels of creativity but also nurture the outside-the-box thinking that we consider to be part of our core business identity. Someone who can actively contribute fresh and unique ideas for marketing campaigns and advertising and help us formulate an approach to stand us apart from our competitors.

Requirements
We would expect the successful Content Marketing Executive to be able to demonstrate impeccable writing and editorial skills with an outstanding command of the English language. You will have an aptitude to write clear content on technical topics and an understanding of SEO guidelines. You will be a confident communicator who is not afraid to ask questions to develop a deeper understanding of the topics you are writing about, with an ability to think holistically and understand how to design and copy work together. Ideally, you will have experience in creating optimized content to contribute to increased web traffic and conversions. You will also be technically minded with a good grasp of IT software, in particular Microsoft and Photoshop packages.
This role would suit someone with previous experience as a content writer, copywriter, Marketing Assistant.
Supporting the Marketing Manager in completing agreed activities within a small Marketing department of a SME firm.
Copywriting
Create blog posts and articles on the company’s website and social media pages as well as write regular press releases.
Research and review customer demands, market trends and search engine trends each month to plan interesting and engaging content and feed it into the quarterly content plan.
Arrange face-to-face meetings with the Sales team and Customer Care team on a regular basis (once every week or every other week) to understand customer demands and sales focus areas, i.e., hot topics, key questions asked in meetings or called in with etc.
Research Google Trends, Google Analytics, and social media on trending topics in our sectors, on a weekly basis.
Set Google Alerts and other alerting methods for relevant keywords to understand hot topics.
Monitor selected competitor websites and activities to research and find opportunities in terms of what they have been sharing on their blog posts.
Write short reports on key findings and share them with the Marketing Manager weekly. We will then use this research and information to create new blog post ideas.
Develop key material content i.e. leaflets, email newsletters, and adverts, to support Creative Marketing Executive.
Review all written documentation as required. Proofreading, checking the accuracy of the content and ensuring it is grammatically correct with no spelling errors.
Create website copy; ensuring it is engaging, well-written and SEO friendly.
Proofreading and peer-reviewing copy produced by the rest of the team.
Develop case studies/customer stories – Liaise with customers and other organisations/people in developing case studies and guest post content.
Campaign creation/management
Plan and manage marketing campaigns to support the needs of the project and the audience it serves.
Assist the Marketing Manager in preparing coherent marketing campaign reports using data analytics tools.
Manage Google My Business locations (publish regular posts, respond to Google reviews, add imagery, maintain opening times)
PR, Advertising management
Write press releases on business achievements, new product releases and noteworthy business news.
Editorial writing for industry publications, and partner websites.
Event Planning
Organise company-own events and attend industry events.
Liaising with printers, photographers, and other relevant organisations in creating event materials.
Social Media management
Management of the company’s social media pages daily – liaise with other team members in gathering ideas for social media content. Experience in social media management platforms, i.e., Loomly (preferable), experience in Canvas preferable; experience in Adobe Creative Suite (must have).
Monitor selected competitor websites and social media activities
Email Marketing
Writing, designing, and producing compelling email content for lead-generating & communication of important & critical updates.
Curating, and sending regular newsletters and ad hoc email campaigns.
Management of marketing database and email distribution (email automation, tracking, nurturing). Experience in Mailchimp (desirable) and/or Business Central is preferable.
The Salary is £30,000 to £32,000 Dependant on Experience
