Job Description – 3D Animator

Department – Video & Animation

Summary of the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our ever evolving and dynamic video and animation team in the role of 3D Animator.

The role will involve the opportunity to work on both 3D animation and motion graphic projects across AVC Immedia’s diverse client pool. This will involve technical projects within the energy sector, so the ability to model and turn complex processes into easy to understand animations will be paramount.

Ideally suited to someone equally as confident in working on their own projects from client meeting through to project completion as well as within a team.

Experience in Cinema 4D is essential using Redshift, which you’ll use to create stunning 3D animations as well as experience in Adobe Creative Cloud for bringing everything together.

You’ll work closely with our talented team of 3D and motion graphic designers, many who have crafted their trade during their time at AVC. You’ll be guided by our Senior Animation Team as well as work on projects with our in house video production team.

You’ll feel at home attending client meetings/calls and coming up with/supporting ideas for proposals for new and existing projects.

Got an interest or experience in Virtual Reality, Unity, Augmented Reality, Unreal Engine? Even better, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating 3D animations for AVC Immedia Video and Animation clients
• Working with designers, editors and producers to ensure client 3D and 2D deliverables are met
• Be heavily involved in concept design and implementation on a number of 3D projects going forward
• Researching and implementing new animation trends and techniques
• Supporting other members of the animation team
• Ability to create storyboards for animation and to establish look & feel for projects essential
• Work to agreed time lines to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality
• Working alongside our commercial and business development team on creative animation ideas.

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

• Extensive knowledge of Cinema 4D (Redshift) and Adobe Creative Suite, with emphasis on After Effects
• Proven Track record of having designed and implemented 3D animation projects from start to finish
• Strong modelling, texturing, lighting and animation skills
• An understanding of video editing.
• A keen interest in contemporary video and animation trends and styles
• Experience working on animations within the energy sector/and or on engineering animations.
• An enthusiastic person who is committed to adding value and delivering excellent customer service
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to meet the needs of internal and external customers
• Impeccable attention to detail
